Phil Neville is back in the Everton squad to face Melbourne Heart on Wednesday.

But Mikel Arteta won't feature, the Spaniard having been given permission to leave Australia early ahead of his impending nuptials in his homeland this weekend.

He will be back at Finch Farm to complete his pre-season preparations when the squad returns from Down Under.

Arteta skippered the Blues in the first half of their win over Sydney FC on Saturday but won't feature again this tour.

Neville may be back in contention after stepping up his training, while Jermaine Beckford has also been back on the training pitch after his slight knock.

Tim Cahill is again set to feature in his homeland but his activity is being carefully monitored by manager David Moyes.

"I'd have preferred Tim to make sure he had a good holiday," Moyes said.

"We've not asked him to train, just a little bit before the game to keep ticking over.

"I've just got to make sure I don't feel the effects of Tim having no holiday in six or seven weeks' time."

Everton: Turner, Hibbert, Coleman, Mustafi, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Bilyaletdinov, Neville, Cahill, Rodwell, Osman, Baxter, Anichebe, Vaughan, Gueye, Silva, Jutkiewicz, Beckford, Saha.

TEAM NEWS......

Magaye Gueye and Seamus Coleman both start Everton's game against Melbourne Heart. It's Coleman's first action of pre-season while Gueye will be looking to build on the good impression he made in the second half of Saturday's win over Sydney FC.
Louis Saha also comes into the starting XI, replacing James Vaughan as David Moyes continues to build up the fitness of his players. Tony Hibbert switches to left-back in place of Leighton Baines and Tim Cahill is poised to enter the action from the bench in his final game before a much needed holiday. Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka remain in the centre of defence, while Diniyar Bilyaletdinov will be wide on the left. Goalscorer on Saturday Victor Anichebe is likely to start on the right of midfield, but the Blues' formation is likely to be fairly fluid. Mikel Arteta has left the tour to get married but Phil Neville and Jermaine Beckford are back and could emerge from the bench.

Everton:
Turner, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Hibbert, Rodwell, Osman, Gueye, Anichebe, Bilyaletdinov, Saha.

Noticed it in Colemans collar and Saha.

Anichebe holds the ball up, Coleman gallops down the outside, gets into a good position, pulls the ball back for Osman who misses the ball, the ball comes to Gueye who shoots but its blocked and goes tamely to the keeper.
