No, that's not me, but he does sound very knowledgeable, and dare I say, handsome.BB wrote:Yankthattoffee wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Howard will be 32 in a month.Yankthattoffee wrote:BB wrote:I think he has a fair point.
Howard had a shite start to the season, and has kept his place which must be frustrating for Mucha. I thought Howard was rubbish last year too.
Careful please Davy. Mucha is a very good keeper and Timmy isn't getting younger.
Am I right in thinking that they are both 28?
He also claims to be 6' 3". He maybe Nigerian after all.
Talking about Nigerian, is this you Thor?

You have that one nailed down mate.BB wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:I thought you wrote that Howard was going to be 31 in March, but when I later on read what you wrote it said 31. When one goes back to edit a post, it states below the post "Last edited by...." and so on.BB wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:How did you change that without the "last edited by..." shows? I could have sworn you wrote 31...BB wrote:Hinchcliffe Corner wrote:32?
I suppose we could pretend he's 25 if he gives us money.
How did I what?
Yes, it only shows after a certain time frame. If you edit it immidiately it won't show.
All these little messages etc can be turned on or off and the delays set in the admin panels. I was going to wind you up and convince you that you were going mad, but you're an Evertonian, so 99% mad anyway.

It was like this, only from about 18 yards out, a lot slower, and the linesman saw it.

The Carling Cup was one of our 2 slight chances of winning a trophy/Europa League.Riggy wrote:The only thing I will say in his defense he cant exactly be sharp the amount of games hes had. Maybe thats a fault of DM?? whats he get 2 games a season?

Just watched the goal. Strange that a minute beforehand he punches a cross away. for the Kalou cross cum goal he clearly just cant ctch the ball.
Also for the second goal he should have parried away not into on coming traffic

I agree with that - for the first one, it was just a lobbed cross, no pace, no pressure so I fully expect him (or any keeper) to try to catch it, but he just fluffed it and it bounced off his hands and over his shoulder.
The second one, was coming in with pace, he should have parried it away or punched it as he did in the a minute before the first goal he let in, but he tried to catch it, fluffs it, and it drops in front of the goal for anyone to knock in.
having said that Baines peno was awful, right down the middle but at the wrong height, and his follow up was well anticipated by cech, and cahill was too eager with that follow up and nudged it over.
Cech was class, Mucha was not, that was the difference between the two sides once turnball got sent off.

I said this at the time and I will say it again... Moyes made a mistake letting John Ruddy leave the club.

True, however would Ruddy be happy being Everton's second choice keeper?

I'm not sure to be honest. He could have gone out on loan for a season or two to get experience and he would have been pushing Howard for the number one spot this season or next. He is 7 years younger than Howard as well so would have been a great replacement.

Oh aye, totally agree. Always thought Ruddy would be a good keeper. But doesn't really make much difference, Howard would still be first choice, and any keeper should have held the first one.

Whatever we got for Ruddy, it wasn't enough.
As for the guy we've got, he's Mucha do about nothing.

Re: 1: Jan Mucha - Dropsy
Everton No.2 goalkeeper Jan Mucha has hinted he is looking to leave the club after he temporarily brought an end to his international career.
The 29-year-old was Slovakia's first choice at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and he joined Everton on a free transfer that summer from Legia Warsaw.
However, after being called up for their last squad, Mucha has ruled himself out of the international picture due to his lack of first-team football.
"I don't want to put the coaches under unnecessary pressure because of myself," he told the Slovak FA's official website.
"I will do my best to win a regular place in the starting line-up, be it at my current or possibly future club.
"With my performances I want to prove to people that I have the quality to be in the national team. Playing for my country has always been an honour to me."
Slovak co-coach Michal Hipp said: "I know how much disappointed he is not to have been able to show his undisputed qualities in league fixtures. His decision makes me sad but on the other hand, I respect it."
Mucha could very well get his wish of a loan move as Everton are said to be checking on former Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc, who is a free agent.
