Contrary to reports which are stating that I have signed for Man Utd are totally untrue. I'm a Everton player and would love to remain one.

Sir Alex Ferguson lines up moves for Everton and England left-back Leighton Baines and Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric after signing Japan midfielder Shinji Kagawa for an initial £12m.

However, Italian club Napoli are also showing interesting in Baines, 27, who is valued at around £20m.

20m would be hard to turn down.
He is one of our best, if not the best, player we have. Also he is the most consistent player we have.

Napoli haven't spent that much on a player since they signed Maradona (probably)

Maradona was nowhere near £20million (old prices). Plus they must have spent nearly £20m on Cavani.
Re: 3: Leighton Baines - Hotter than Cole (sort ya hair out lad)
Near the end of the season we had that run of 3 games, scoring 4 in each game.
Baines did not figure in any of them.
This proves nothing, so I'm going back to the Jubilee thread.

At least if he does leave then the transfer is being executed early in the transfer window as opposed to what happened with the Lescott saga. Moyes should then at least have an opportunity to reinvest that money on players he wants (cue Bainsey not leaving until August 30th).

Ive no problem with anyone leaving for decent money. As long as wages continue to increase, thats the model most clubs have to deal with now. Buy cheap gems, school them and sell them when their stock is high. As long as it is early in the window and Moyes gets the money to re-invest in the squad we will just have to accept it. New money just isnt going to fall on our laps.

Lets be honest lads - its going to be another rotten summer at Everton with more doom and gloom surrounding the club at the start of the new season. Its been the same for the past 6 years! This one will be no different!

Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to capture Leighton Baines.
Sir Alex Ferguson has identified the Everton and England left-back as one of his summer transfer targets, and is keen to conclude a deal as swiftly as possible.
The Toffees value Baines at £20million, but United are unwilling to pay that much for the 27-year-old.
They view a fee of around £15m as more realistic.
Ferguson would like to have Baines on board before July 16 - the day United embark on their pre-season tour to South Africa and China.
But with Everton determined to hold out for the best possible price, the saga seems likely to drag on throughout next month.

LEIGHTON Baines is nearing a move to Manchester United according to Sky.
Baines, who was a member of England's Euro 2012 squad, is thought to be a top target for United boss Sir Alex Ferguson - and the move appears to be back on and edging closer this week.
Sky Journalist Steve Bateman says he understands the deal is 'very close' with the fee in the region of £16-20m.
He tweeted: 'Understand that Manchester United are now very close to sealing a deal with Everton's Leighton Baines.
'Was rumoured that the park deal had to go through before baines could be done.'

hope this is bullshit, about £25 million if we do sell, would rather keep him though , but as always IMWT

Andy Hunter would have mentioned this in his articles last week about Naismith if anything was close in the offing. Unfortunately we do need to sell someone if we can invest anywhere else in the squad but we will need a replacement for Baines at left back first.

Looks like Danijel Pranjic is on the cards.
