Crisis eh.... Idea

Since it's you Alex, let's make that £40m

Could he not get Sneijder for a bit more than 20M? He needs a Sneijder more than a Rodwell I reckon.

Yes he deffo needs someone with more experience but on the other hand, remind me again, have much did the Shite pay for Jordan Henderson? Young, English, versatile.... ker-ching.

I think the figure started with a 2.... oh yeah it was 2 much! Laughing

Sneijder has £39M buy out clause. Man U have been put off by his injuries of recent times.

£20M seems too low. Not because he's a world beater, but because he's a young promising English player the fee will go up. Just look at how much the Shite paid for Caroll.

To be fair to Caroll he had scored the goals to generate his fee.

What I meant is that if he had been from the continent, or Africa, would his price tag had been as high? I don't personally think so.

Agreed home proven players do generate a higher price tag albeit that is pure football economics

Chelsea are ready to test Everton's resolve to hang on to £20m-rated Jack Rodwell with a January bid.
Full story: Daily Mirror

Chelsea and Man Utd both want him? If City also come in we could really push the price up.

anything over £20m would be a great price considering he's not very influential for us, and hasn't improved a great deal recently.

it would probably suit his development playing with better players as well.

i think we owe capello a big thanks for picking him for england.

I think he's been pretty good this season. He's found a role that suits him and has weighed in with a few goals. We miss him when he's injured. He was picked by capello on merit. I'd be sorry to see him go. Would like to see him develop in the Everton team.

With the squad so thin on talent, I'd like to keep him at this stage. But, if Chelsea want him, he'd probably be mad not to take the job though I doubt he'll get much of a look-in at Stamford Bridge.

Tough call for players like Rodwell. I mean, Sturridge has got games at Chelsea but I would have to say he is an exceptional talent, whilst Rodwell just looks like a very good player. In the olden days he would have stayed at Goodison and ultimately captained us.

this unfortunately is true.

Still, with the Bily money and the Rodwell money we'll be able to........ pay down a little bit of the debt.

£48mil the debt stands at, the only think i see happening if there is a wealthy benefactor in waiting, he has been told to reduce the debt before a sale.

Even then that suggests it will be investment and not a takeveover because of the minor debt ( comparatively) we have..
