Re: Burnley v Everton
During the summer, as well as losing Gana Gueye, we also lost Joao Pedro Sousa and replaced him with Boa Morte.
Could this have been the reason for a slow start?
Sousa went to Famalicao
Check where they are in the Portugese league.
OK, Il'll do it for you...
Played 7, won 6. Top of the league.
It's coaching boys, coaching.

Aside from the last 10 games or so, we underperformed last season so I don't know if that logic stands up. But if he's good, sack Marco and bring him in.

Same old shit. If we lose again today, I'm going to get the train up to Liverpool just to kick Marco up the arse very hard.

Conceding from a set piece again. We may as well just hand over a goal to the opposition.

We look so shit and clueless. Surely it's time for an ambitious manager change. Get a proven winner in before we end up too deep in shit

Re: Burnley v Everton
Silva's teams have always shipped goals from set pieces yet he doesn't address the problem. If he had, we'd have got a point today and against Sheffield United last time out. Incompetence? Arrogance?

Re: Burnley v Everton
Zonal marking-Poor coaching - no defence- poor attack.Silva only interested in midfield players ,clueless, time to go.
Re: Burnley v Everton
It looks like the players can’t be bothered. I’d be surprised if Silva makes it through the international break.

Re: Burnley v Everton
Silva's turned out to be a very poor appointment sadly. We're utter dogshit under him. I think he should go now, while the international break is on. I actually don't give a fuck who replaces him. Roy Keane was at the game - could he be this year's Fat Sam? Bring him in to kick some arse and stave off relegation? Is this the job for Wenger, or is he past it now? Some young unknown? A mad German with bulging eyes like Klopp? Rafa the redshite?
Fucking hell, not only am I going to the home games, I'm also going to Brighton in a few weeks. There's something wrong with me.

Re: Burnley v Everton
We were absolute shite, deserved nothing, clueless in attack, flimsy at the back, poor coaching, poor team selection,etc.. etc..
Anyway, it's October and will hopefully get better, but what I want to talk about today is their goal. Yes, shite defending and everyone switched off, but was I the only one who noticed Ashley Barnes push, shepherd and block Schneiderlin away from the back post? Granted Schneiderlin was switched off to the man at the back post, but regardless, it basically gave him a free shot at goal. The commentators said nowt, and I didn't see it mentioned in any reports, but what the fuck is the point in VAR?

I think you'll find the point of VAR is to make sure the Shite don't drop a point this season. What made you think there was any other reason for it?
Re: Burnley v Everton
On the plus side, I've just cancelled my cable subscription from the end of the month, so I won't have to suffer this shite anymore, and am the best part of the equivalent of £40 a month better off.

Re: Burnley v Everton
I can't see a reason to keep him on instead of giving someone like Howe or Arteta a go. I'm all for giving managers time, but you need to see signs that the team is improving, which we're clearly not.

I wouldn't fancy either of those two, but I do think time's up for Silva. I'm hopeful that Brands knows who he wants next, and that he won't be over-ridden by Moshiri wanting some big-name past their sell-by-date tosser
Re: Burnley v Everton
And to make things worse, those jammy fookers across the park get a penalty in stoppage time to win their game.
Fooking horrible start to the weekend.

Re: Burnley v Everton
When Jeff Hendrick scored from Ashley Westwood's corner, it was the 22nd goal the Toffees have conceded from set-pieces since the start of last season - more than any other side.
Captain Seamus Coleman's dismissal for two avoidable yellow cards, which Silva described as "really harsh", made him the sixth Everton player to be sent off since Silva took over. Again, that is more than any other side.
And their failure to pick up a point after going 1-0 down at Turf Moor means they have lost all 20 matches when they have fallen behind under Silva.

That's actually deeply shocking. If we go behind, we lose? Not even draw occasionally, we lose every time? For that alone, Silva should be sacked - 20 times over.
Re: Burnley v Everton
I've still got an inkling about poor coaching and tactics. Dyche commending us for playing open football even when down to 10 men, is an good indicator.hairy cataract wrote:Armchair wrote:When Jeff Hendrick scored from Ashley Westwood's corner, it was the 22nd goal the Toffees have conceded from set-pieces since the start of last season - more than any other side.

Re: Burnley v Everton
Yeah, can that be correct? I mean, at least once in a while we could luck out and score and draw. If correct, it's simply shocking.hairy cataract wrote:Armchair wrote:When Jeff Hendrick scored from Ashley Westwood's corner, it was the 22nd goal the Toffees have conceded from set-pieces since the start of last season - more than any other side.
