Re: Jonjoe Kenny
On loan would be one thing but I don't want to lose him considering Coleman is getting on a bit. And we need the cover.

Re: Jonjoe Kenny
Hmmm...so no cover for Coleman. Unless we are signing a new RB and Coleman becomes the understudy (like Baines is for Digne).

Schalke boss David Wagner says the club cannot afford to sign Jonjoe Kenny, 23, from Everton on a permanent deal but would like to extend the defender's loan for another season. (Sky Sports)

Re: Jonjoe Kenny
I haven't watched any of the German football, but the combination of the canned crowd noises and the excitable commentators almost make you think you're watching a real game. And then you look at the empty stadium. And then you realise you're being conned.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they keep it like this for the whole of next season. Why bother letting the pesky fans back in when you can fake the whole experience?

Re: Jonjoe Kenny
Burnley are set to make a move for Everton's 23-year-old Jonjoe Kenny, having previously missed out on bringing the former England Under-21s defender to Turf Moor.
Re: Jonjoe Kenny
DONE -- Everton right-back Jonjoe Kenny has gone to Celtic on loan for the rest of the season.

So only Coleman as a RB in the squad, although I suppose Holgate is done a decent job there.

Re: Jonjoe Kenny
Jonjoe Kenny was also offered fresh terms but it looks like he has decided to move on in pursuit of a new opportunity elsewhere.
Full-back Kenny, who made 50 Premier League appearances, joined Everton aged nine and spent 16 years with the Club, skippering the Under-23s to Premier League 2 glory in 2017.

good luck to him ... he filled important gaps when we were desperate & to be fair he did okSuper wrote:Rumours today that he is back off to Germany, with Hertha Berlin being his next club.
Never going to be a full back of first choice though, so you can't blame the guy for moving on.

He did well in his stint at Schalke, they loved him there. I wish him well.

Indeed. Better than the other players who were happy to stay at the club, knowing that they weren't going to get a game.

Well this is nice...

Don't anyone let Kenwright read this FFS. He'll be in bits for weeks.

Re: Jonjoe Kenny
Nice touch. I think he knows he's probably not going to get much of a look in next season (I'm assuming Nkounkou will cover for Myko, so we won't even need him to fill in on the wrong side of defence any more). Fair play to make the jump to playing overseas as well, rather than just dropping down a division in England.
