Everton v Tottenham Hotspur.
Everton v Tottenham Hotspur Sunday 23rd December 2018 ,
Goodison Park , Live SkySports 16.00 K/O.
Everton entertain Spurs at Goodison Park. It’s time Marco Silv’s team stared to challenge the top six teams, starting with Spurs,
There was nothing we could do about our last fixture against Man City, but? We could get something out of this game, alleged reports suggest Silva to ring some changes?
Bringing back Leighton Baines in a sweeper roll, with Gomes and Guye just in front with Sigurdsson on the right wing instead of Walcott and Bernard on the left wing with Richarlison up-front on his own ,again this is only alleged thoughts of Marco Silva.
Going for Everton to pinch this one 2-1

Agreed, I think we'll nick this one by the odd goal.

We will definitely win this one KOT because I will be there 😊 - we were two for two last season, let’s see if I can keep the streak going!

Sweet! If we were to win this game, Everton might have to provide you (and maybe me) with season tickets!Qld Toffee wrote:We will definitely win this one KOT because I will be there 😊 - we were two for two last season, let’s see if I can keep the streak going!

Have a great outing!

A win against a “sky 6” team would be good.

Re: Everton v Tottenham Hotspur.
Davies in, DCL up front, Richie moves to the left in place of Bernard. Can't argue with any of that really.

Re: Everton v Tottenham Hotspur.
Does Silva know what the fuck he's doing? I really am having my doubts now. His career in the PL seems to follow the same pattern at each club. We're looking utterly clueless at the moment.

We've lost our way since the derby. Maybe that has had more of an impact than we realise. The next few games are 'easier' (Burnley A, Brighton H, Leicester H, Bournemouth H) but the players' confidence must be rock bottom.

Re: Everton v Tottenham Hotspur.
I feel like we've turned a corner. Unfortunately we've gone down another dead end of wankness.
Silva's short reign feels like a microcosm of Martinez spell. The attacking play has been clueless for a few weeks now, but now the midfield and defence has truly joined in.
Someone needs a word with Pickford too. Clearly believing his on hype.

To be honest, I look at that run of games and predict we'll come out with none/one point from Burnley, one/three from Brighton, none/one from Leicester, and none/one from Bournemouth. So between one and six points I reckon And, as you say, those are some of our easier games.
Re: Everton v Tottenham Hotspur.
Sorry Everton, your not going to ruin my Christmas even though I have to work it all.I went along with the appointment of Silva even though I didn’t like the idea, we are one point less this time round with one less win than this time last year, for all the money we have spent Strikers get you goals.
1 Liverpool have Famino ,Salah,Mane.
2 Man City have Stirling ,Aguero ,Jesus
3,Tottenham have Kane Son,Lamella.
4 Chelsea have,Morata,Hazard,Willan.
5 Arsenal have augibang,Lacazette,Iwobl
6 Man United have Lingard,Matial,Lukaku
Everton have Richarlison , any wonder why we are not beating top six and drawing with the like Newcastle and Watford ? Miles behind.

I agree Sef.. strikers are key.. we have all known this since lukaku leftSEFTON wrote:Sorry Everton, your not going to ruin my Christmas even though I have to work it all.I went along with the appointment of Silva even though I didn’t like the idea, we are one point less this time round with one less win than this time last year, for all the money we have spent Strikers get you goals.

Why oh why don't we buy Dzeko who is available & has made noises that he would like a crack again in the prem..
Vardy is unhappy too... go get him.. he can score with half chances.
Ok these are getting on, but who cares.. if we can get into Europe we will attract younger talent
Imagine if Sef's list above read
7. Everton have Richarlison, Dzeko, Vardy ... then we'd be fucking dangerous !
DCL is good (for the future)... Tosun is not prem standard.

Wouldn't have made much difference yesterday. Our problems ran through the spine of the team - overrun in midfield, destroyed in defence, heads went down as soon the team realised that Spurs were so much better than us. The real problem was that Spurs were first to every second ball - they were sprinting while our players jogged, their passing was crisp while ours was soggy. We switched off for half their goals, they didn't switch off once. We could have had Bob Latchford, Dixie Dean and Billys Boots upfront, it would have made little difference. Silva needs to earn his money now, because we were pathetic yesterday. I said at the start of the season that we were bound to get some absolute thumpings, with the way Silva sets up the team, but I didn't think we'd see capitulation like that, I thought we'd just get picked off by some counter attacking teams.
The next month or so will define our season, and probably Silva's future at the club. Defeat at Burnley or Brighton, followed by a bad January and I doubt if he'll be in charge come August.
Re: Everton v Tottenham Hotspur.
Got to agree with Hairyeyeballs, Jordan Pickford he needs competition, can’t keep getting away with clowning around, are best two players are loaners,Tom Davies and Morgan Schniderlin just not good enough,Both Seamus Coleman and Theo Walcott have seen better days,we need a nuclious in the team ? We haven’t got one,Richarlison goes missing, i’m Wondering if Griffin Sigurdsson is a number 10: Silva got his work cut out but? there is not one player in the squad I could say should be in the team, it’s that bad, don’t care what the squad looks like on paper we are shite,no doubt some one will pick the bones from this squad players but?For me I see no heart- no strength in the team and the Captain is anonymous as usual.back to the drawing board.
Re: Everton v Tottenham Hotspur.
Also.. there's been a lot of talk about Coleman being past it this season and not worth his place, despite being the only natural leader in the side. I wonder if his problem is Silva, rather than his form. He's asked to take up a much higher starting position in the Silva style - once he receives the ball he's got no space to run into half the time. Meanwhile, whenever the opposition break, the poor bastard has got to leg it back fifty yards just to catch up with the play. I just don't think the formation suits him.
