Everton v The Toon

Post  Armchair on Tue 04 Dec 2018, 6:50 am

Plenty of positives to take from the derby. Let's get back on track with a win against Rafa.

3-1 Siggy, Richie, Lookman. Andy Cole for them.

Silva will rotate?
The kind of game to let Lookman out of his box.
Rest Walcott. Maybe even try Tosun and move Richie back to the left and give Bernie a chance to rue his occasional dribbling skills.

I would be OK with that. Richie has been a bit toothless up front on his own.

Good that we can get straight back on the horse. The player will be disappointed after the weekend, but hopefully will know how good they were and will come back stronger.

I've a feeling we might win by quite a few.

this. Have Richie on the bench until 60 then decide if he's coming on for Lookman or Bernard. Bernard was excellent on Sunday and deserves a run out against weaker oppo

Everton make three changes to the side that was beaten 1-0 in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Sunday.

Kurt Zouma replaces Michael Keane, while Cenk Tosun and Ademola Lookman are in for Bernard and Theo Walcott

Miserable on Merseyside. Rain heavy enough to merit the need of an ark. Jordan Pickford, after that howler at Anfield on Sunday, was cheered on to the pitch by the home fans.

Everton from the left again. This time Andre Gomes' cross is met by the fists of Martin Dubravka. The Toffees are knocking.

Where has that come from? Newcastle take their lead with the first attack and, to be honest, it's pretty simple. Jacob Murphy does brilliantly down the left, curling in a teasing cross that finds its way to Salomon Rondon at the back post. The sliding finish bullets past Jordan Pickford. Are those some boos that can be heard inside Goodison?
