Sounds like DCL is playing well.

HITS THE WOODWORK
Chelsea 2-0 Nottingham Forest
Close! Forest hit the woodwork as Kieran Dowell's free-kick is curled on to the bar. That was close.

Re: Everton vs Sunderland
Dogged, dogged stuff from DCL. He had to dig hard to keep the ball inside the Sunderland area, and got his reward when he slipped a neat finish past Jason Steele. Blues desperately in need of an injection of confidence and hopefully that’s provided it.

Re: Everton vs Sunderland
DCL breaks the deadlock! Everton work the ball smartly into the penalty area, Davy Klaassen takes a touch and Dominic Calvert-Lewin takes the ball off his toes, beats a man and stabs home from close range.
Sounds like he more or less pushed Klaassen away.

Besic with yet ANOTHER sloppy pass that gets intercepted. Again, Keane gets him out of trouble. Deary me.

Time to simply go with him all the time up front.Armchair wrote:

Re: Everton vs Sunderland
DCL is denied a genuine hat-trick, right foot, left foot, header - by the width of a Gwladys Street post. A thrilling effort from a young man who impresses more and more every time we see him.

No hat-trick for Dominic Calvert-Lewin - he comes off and Oumar Niasse is on.

Re: Everton vs Sunderland
Dominic Calvert-Lewin so close to a hat-trick. Like a throwback to Andy Gray in the mid 1980s, the young striker threw himself forward and his flying header hit the post in front of the Gwladys Street End.
Calvert-Lewin has now been replaced and received a standing ovation. He has clearly made an impression ahead of the visit of Bournemouth.
Oumar Niasse back in the Everton fold!

Re: Everton vs Sunderland
A first goal for Everton! Oumar Niasse has bagged a cracker as well. Tom Davies picks him out at the far post, he takes the ball down on his chest and smashes into the top corner with the outside of his foot! What a hit.

Hopefully that's a good confidence booster. DCL to start up front (not out on the wing) against Bournemouth please!

Re: Everton vs Sunderland
Just got in and seen the score. Happy with that, job done and hopefully a much needed confidence boost to take in to the weekend
What if this whole time we've been hiding the world's best secret in Niasse!

Not as if we are ever going to win the League Cup anyway.
