I think the '12.5m deal' part is referring to his wages, rather than a transfer fee.

Allardyce said? he wanted to speak to Wayne, maybe something has been said?

read somewhere today, it is a transfer fee, but added the WAGES may be a stumbling block
great deal if true for both us and wayne

me too... maybe sentimental, but he is a strong advocate for the club IMO... and still has a playing role... Sam has treated him like shit & he's stayed quiet about it
