Good business by the club reaping £12.5 mill,Rooney has lost his legs, can't run-can't pass,DC washington would be a good deal for him and his family, my only concern does than mean Gravy-boat staying another season? B**dy hope not. cheers

I think the '£12.5m deal' part is referring to his wages, rather than a transfer fee.

I'm hearing Wayne Rooney has left USM Finch Farm just as the players take to the field too train?

Allardyce said? he wanted to speak to Wayne, maybe something has been said?

I actually hope so, even though we all realize he's past his best years.

me too... maybe sentimental, but he is a strong advocate for the club IMO... and still has a playing role... Sam has treated him like shit & he's stayed quiet about it

Iím glad he came back to bookend his Premier League career and put to bed the bad blood that the United move created. He done ok IMO considering how bad a season it was.

Everton striker Wayne Rooney has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Major League Soccer club DC United. He will officially complete his move when the US mid-season transfer window opens on 10 July. There is no transfer fee but it is understood DC United have agreed a compensation package with the Toffees.

Well, toodle-oo. That was a strange return to GP. He showed flashes of his old self and finished top scorer but I can't say I'm bothered that he's gone.

The West Ham hat trick and the 66 yard thumper, were the highlight of the season in every way.

I felt the exact same thing - that he had something more to offer for a season or two. He clearly didn't want to be a part time player. I wish him the best of luck at DC United.
