Re: Davy klaassen
Just watched some recorded studio talk from the pre-game show yesterday and they were talking about the class of Klaassen. I am not convinced by what I have seen so far. I hope it's just a matter of finding the footing in the Prem and he'll take off from there.

The games against Stoke and Rozumwhatsit completely passed him by.

Re: Davy klaassen
Exactly, that's what I am seeing as well and that makes me nervous. Especially considering that he was £30M and was supposed to be that creative midfielder we were looking for.Armchair wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Just watched some recorded studio talk from the pre-game show yesterday and they were talking about the class of Klaassen. Time will tell though and I have not given up on him, but I do have concerns.
Re: Davy klaassen
don't be too harsh .. he's coming from a very different league & will take time to adjust by the look of him... I still have high hopes from him but to ease the pressure why not have him as sub & Tom D in the starting role? ... Tom D has the making of a new Peter ReidKnight of Thorgothshire wrote:Exactly, that's what I am seeing as well and that makes me nervous. Funny that you mentioned Tom D because I was thinking that he must be sitting on the sidelines wondering why he is not the starter instead of Klaassen.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:don't be too harsh .. he's coming from a very different league & will take time to adjust by the look of him... Like I said, I have not "given up" on Klaassen, just concerned that the game seems to be passing him by so far.

Napoli have been trying to negotiate a loan deal with an option to buy, but our colleagues at Sky in Italy are telling us that the Serie A side have only just realised he's cup tied for the Europa League and that could mean they focus on bringing in other targets.
Prior to that they had been reporting that a deal was close, although sources at Everton have maintained it was never that far down the line.

Klaassen going nowhere?

The proposed loan deal for Everton's Davy Klaassen to move to Napoli looks increasingly unlikely as the 24-year-old former Ajax captain - signed in a £24m summer deal by former manager Ronald Koeman - is in no rush to quit Goodison Park and switch to Serie A.
Everton are willing to offload the Netherlands midfield man and were happy to do the loan deal with Napoli after his struggles this season but at this stage - with hours left in the window - Klaassen is reluctant to leave.

Everton midfield man Davy Klaassen's proposed loan move to Serie A giants Napoli is off.
Talks over the deal have broken down and the 24-year-old former Ajax captain, signed in a £24m deal by former Everton manager Ronald Koeman last summer, will now stay at Goodison Park.
Everton, meanwhile, are confident they will complete a loan deal for Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala before the transfer window closes.

It'll be shorter to drive him to Germany. And please make this happen.

According to Kreiszeitung, Werder Bremen are in talks with Everton to sign Davy Klaassen.
The midfielder swapped Ajax for Everton last summer but had a horrid first year in England, making only seven appearances in the Premier League.
Klaassen appears to have no future with the Merseyside club, who paid Ajax £23.6 million a year ago, and he is available for a transfer or loan this summer. According to Kreiszeitung, Werder Bremen are showing interested in the 25-year-old.
The Bundesliga club is searching for a replacement for Thomas Delaney, who left for Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer. They are planning a club-record for the Dutch international, who has a contract in England until 2022.
