Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
Loads of Luka's goals last season in particular cme from great crosses by FooFoo ... why is that delivery mechanism dropped in favour of shit wingers who can't cross a ball ??Super wrote:Hinchcliffe Corner wrote:hairy cataract wrote:I dunno, I'd say the two statements go hand in hand - he's going to leave and we want to make as much profit as possible so we tie him to a long term deal in the hope of selling him for £75m. So "he's got to leave to fulfil his potential" but we want to tie him in to a long term contract. Surely these sort of contradictions just destabilise the club? No wonder we're such a fucking mess at the moment!
So shit that that he's only scored 9 goals from 16 starts this season? I know he has a lot of things to improve on, but he's employed as a goalscorer first and foremost, and he does that pretty damn well.
Indeed, how many points would we be worst off by without his goals this season?
I agree that Luka is a good goalscorer... but he needs quality service

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
It was reported that Farhad Moshiri had a meeting at goodison during the Arsenal game with Lukaku's agent Mina raiola to discuss a contract extension, Lukaku will leave in the summer but? signing a new contract would allow for Everton to add another 20/30 million to Romelu lukaku's transfer fee.

That or someone nearby for the odd occasion when he does manage to hold the ball up. Too many times on Monday night, there was no-one else near him to help him.

Fully expect Lukaku to be gone this summer. With or without him though, it's clear that the Jan and summer transfer windows will define our next two or three seasons. We need some big changes. Gana has been a great signing, Stek and Bolasie, less so, but I'm still hopeful Koeman will get it right. I'm resigned to there being no short term success though.

but still, who would win in a favourite player poll between the two on here?

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
Duncan was much more enigmatic. He was also injured a lot. Having said that, he really did (does) cared for the club. Lukaku doesn't seem to really give a sh!t.Goodison_Gringo wrote:Lumper wrote:Lukaku (71) 1 goal behind Duncan Ferguson (72) in #EFC all time scorers list. Romelu 145 appearances, Duncan 273

Since Romelu Lukaku's debut for Everton, only Sergio Aguero (77) and Harry Kane (59) have scored more #pl goals than him (54).

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
Romelu Lukaku is the first #EFC player to score 16+ goals in 4 successive seasons since Joe Royle in 67/68-70/71

So is it bye bye Big Luke in July or can we afford the billions his agent will demand?

So we need Untied to win against Southampton for the League cup, then chase down the Manchesters and the Shyte.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:we're minted so I doubt it will be a money issue... we do need Europe though, even if it's only wafer cupYankthattoffee wrote:So is it bye bye Big Luke in July or can we afford the billions his agent will demand?

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
I thought that was probably his best game for us. Obviously four goals is incredible, but in addition every time he ran at them they absolutely shat themselves. The combination of power and skill was immense and he really knows where the net is. Bournemouth were the perfect team for him because they allowed us to put the ball in front of Luka and, when that happens, he's as good as anyone in the word.
As I posted earlier, his stats are the best since Joe Royle for us. 16+ goals four seasons on the bounce.
We'll struggle to hold on to him, but you never know.
