Williams with another silly challenge and freekick SPurs which means they can kill off the game.
Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Everton
Frustrating to watch as all 3 Spuds goals were down to poor defending.
Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Everton
They came out in the same way as the Shyte during the Suarez era. Come out of the blocks at 90mph, score a couple and then hang on. If we had stemmed the tide without Kane's opener, who knows, but yet more ifs.Armchair wrote:Frustrating to watch as all 3 Spuds goals were down to poor defending.
Barry was a poor choice as a starter. Macca was the man if your're looking to clog it up for a while.

Interestingly enough he was poor on the first two goals but also made some very good saves. Or maybe instead of using the word "interestingly", one should use "frustratingly"?Sack the Juggler wrote:Dodgy keeper

Managed to blag a ticket for this in the away end. Bit subdued atmosphere thanks to the stupid kick off time, but lots of Tony Bellew chants, and nice to visit White Hart Lane one last time before they knock it down. Ridiculous really, it's a much more modern feeling stadium than Goodison, and they're flattening it but that's another story.
Thought Spurs gave us a lesson in how far we have to go. Koeman said as much in his interview - where Spurs are at is what we should be aiming for in the next couple of seasons. Anyway, they out played us, out muscled us, out worked us, out thought us. Some of their movement was great and their pressing, particularly from the front, was brilliant. We had so little time to make decisions, it really highlighted how weak we are in certain positions. Kane is a world class footballer and, as they said on MOTD2, he's helped by the players around him creating space for him.
Mori had a fucking mare, and Williams was barely clinging on. Baines did his best but I think it's probably his last season as our first choice left back. Barkley frustrated - he only seemed to come to life in the last 20 minutes. Koeman clearly fucked up with the slighly negative line-up and approach, we had no out ball apart from the hoof to Lukaku, and I don't really understand why Gueye was playing so high up the pitch, he was almost playing off Luka at some stages and it just didn't work. Davies was anonymous, again because I think he was a square peg in a round hole yesterday.
Valencia looked fucking brilliant when he came on! Pity we know he's actually a bit shit.
The shame was, if we'd have got Coleman forward more often earlier on, we could have really troubled them. They struggled when he ran at them.
I'm pretty happy with progress so far. If we can keep Koeman and Walsh, and maybe somehow keep Lukaku, next season could be interesting, and the season after that could see us challenging for trophies and the top four.

Wasn't confident when Ronald Koeman tinkered with the team, for too long now are defence has been our Achilles -heel, Joe Robles has proved he's not Our no1 keeper, the combination of Ashley Williams and Funes Mori doesn't work, with Gareth Barry In a defensive position It was Inevitable we would struggle, Koeman shouldn't change a winning formula. Leighton Baines like Coleman more suited on the wings when we go three at the back, would have had Holgate In the back three Instead of playing Barry as a defensive midfielder.
Anyways some one else to take the thread for WBA, good Luck to them
