FT. 29% possession and 4 shots on target. I guess if those 4 shots hadn't got in we'd be lamenting another toothless performance but they did so....

Boom.. that's how you spoil Sky's Sunday.
You couldn't have scripted that better.

What a great game
Although they bossed possession we were on top and never really troubled that much
I thought Lukaku had an excellent game

Barkley was excellent. In the thick of things. But Tom Davies was MOTM.

He's taken a lot of the spotlight away from Barks, so he's going to thrive again.SouthernSmugToffee wrote:Barkley was excellent. In the thick of things. But Tom Davies was MOTM.
Ross looks fitter than ever. The big butt has started to go. Neat passing without any fears.
Is Judge Judy and better than Macca?
I liked the way Lookman just went for goal. No looking around for support or where a tackle may be coming in, just straight at 'em.

Re: Everton v Man C
If Barks keeps this up, I may have to eat some humble pie.
He is looking a better proposition now. Still a little slow in letting the ball go but a number a brilliant passes and a couple of assists there.
Thought we got battered first half with 2 gilt edge chances for $tirling and Zabaleta going begging.
100% conversion rate for shtos on target, I like that

Re: Everton v Man C
the writing was on the wall with the disallowed goal. Simple attack at pace targeting their RB (full backs were both crap). It was just a matter of forcing that opportunity again.

Re: Everton v Man C
Everyone had a good game and there were a lot of plaudits for Tom Davies, quite rightly so, but as well as him and Barkley, I though Mirrallas was outstanding. Full of energy and intelligent running. I always feel he's a player who needs the confidence of the manager. Hopefully we can get a sustained spell like this out of him.
Like, I said, everyone was good but I'd also give a big mention to Baines, Barry, Lukaku and Holgate.

Don't forget Robles running the length pitch to celebrate Alookman's goal .pure brilliance.
