Everton are closing in on Yannick Bolaise, who could cost up to £30m.
Sky sources understand that the fee has already been agreed with Crystal Palace and he's now due to have a medical today.
Sums up what we all know!

Sunderland fans today apparently starting a petition to keep Kone. Shall we start one to keep Bolaise at Selhurst Park?
Your going to do yourself an injury in this thread mate 😄

Totally agree, but if Koeman/Walsh think he will improve us, and moshiri willing to finance it, we gotta trust them I supposeGravy & Chips wrote:Fucking ridiculous
I think we will struggle to get " star " players until we get euro football, no matter what we offer
As with all signings give them a chance to see what they can do in our team

Re: Yannick Bolasie - Pace and err..
crazy... but it shows that we are willing to pay for big names (and I am NOT saying Spaghetti Bolognaise is a big name btw)... players won't shy away from us thinking they won't get their mercenary pay check...
..the only reason players will shy away now is lack of Yoorope football... or <shock horror> a player that actually WANTS to play for a better side, rather than just the money

Re: Yannick Bolasie - Pace and err..
Yannick Bolasie is still awaiting permission from Crystal Palace to travel to Merseyside to tie up his move to Everton, according to Sky sources.
The fee for the 27-year-old - which could rise to £30m - has been agreed between the two Premier League clubs.
However, the DR Congo international is yet to travel to Goodison Park and is expected to train with Palace today.
Providing he passes a medical and agrees personal terms, Bolasie will become the most-expensive signing in Everton’s 138-year history.

Re: Yannick Bolasie - Pace and err..
I am a bit dubious about this. I suppose if they are thinking of playing a certain way and Bolasie fits into that system, then fine.
My problem would be like when Andy Johnson came and ended up getting homesick. Same with Zaha when he went to Man United.
I suppose if he joins then Deulofeu and Mirallas could be used on the wing or central and Lennon and Bolasie gives options.

Heard this as well. It's a lot of money to be spending on an a player who goes missing a lot.

Once again, the market has gone mad, but if moshiri wants to pay it, then, who are we to judge. If we have to pay over the odds to get us back to Europe and seriously challenge then so be it. We can then hopefully attract quality players to take us on the final step to actually winning things,
I do feel that we are being reborn, and our return to the top is not far away, moshiri seems serious about taking us there

Hope this does happen today. He's a definite upgrade on Mirallas and Foo.

Guardian confirm he's having medical today. Wonder will Koeman hold onto Lennon? Not sure he fits the profile for his high pressing game?

I thought Lennon was always good at tracking back and generally making a nuisance of himself. A right-sided Pienaar. But it does make you wonder...do we need 4 wingers, and if not, who loses out? Perhaps Ronnie sees Foo or Kev playing more centrally.

Welcome aboard Yannick. Stay away from Cahill-the-great though. He's a bit grumpy over the whole thing.

Re: Yannick Bolasie - Pace and err..
Well he looks useful on Youtube. I'm not convinced we need another right-footed winger (our 4th, excluding McGeady) as a priority but welcome anyway.

He comes across really well in the interview. Seems a genuine down to earth type.
