Just gone through last seasons games and he played about 150mins of football for us last season.
So far in pre-season he had a 45min run out in the closed doors training game in Austria. From some of the highlights i saw of that game, he fell over his own feet on more than 1 occasion.

Maybe we are reading too much into the no squad number business? I can't imagine we would let Garbutt go.

Presumably Garbutt will be sent on loan for the whole season, hence no squad number

Re: Oumar Niasse 14
Oumar Niasse has four Premier League clubs after him and has told Everton he won't be pushed into a season-loan to Crystal Palace. Senegal striker Niasse, 26, is on his way out of Goodison Park just six months after joining in February from Lokomotiv Moscow for £13.5million.
Everton want to offload the striker to Premier League rivals Palace on loan as part of their £30million transfer for Yannick Bolasie. The Toffees will let Niasse go in exchange for his £45,000-a-week salary being covered from the four-and-a-half-year deal he signed at Goodison.
Palace are in the driving seat but MirrorSport understands Sunderland, Hull and West Brom are also interested too. And Niasse wants to chose his next club carefully to get his career back on track.
He is concerned that by going to Selhurst Park he could end up swapping the bench at Goodison Park for the bench at Palace behind Christian Benteke, who Alan Pardew wants to sign. Niasse is frustrated that his stock has plummeted so quickly after moving to Everton after Roberto Martinez told him he planned to switch to 4-4-2 with him alongside Romelu Lukaku.
But he hardly featured for Everton where he made just two Premier League starts under Martinez and failed to score in seven appearances. It added up to just 152 minutes of competitive football in the second half of last season as top scorer Lukaku usually led the line on his own.
This summer Niasse has played just 45 minutes in pre-season under successor Ronald Koeman who hasn't given him a squad number. But Niasse arrived from Russia with a record of a goal every other game and an assist every three games as the division's 2015 player of the year. Niasse also had equal statistics in the Europa league and wants to restore his reputation.

I'm really wondering if Niasse really is as shit as we all think.... I mean he's never really been played more than a few bit-parts off the bench..
Are we fucking up here... again

I agree - but how could he be the player of the year in Russia and be so dog-shit here? Something's not right. Perhaps the slack attitude to steroid abuse in Russia helped him (allegedly).

Trust me, he's awful. Saw him live at Bournemouth game which he started and he looked like he never touched the ball in his life. Get rid ASAP.

Yeah Man City spent £19m on him. We signed him on loan till the end of the season in Feb 09 and he scored 5 goals in 12 games.
We then signed him on loan again for the whole season 09-10 and he scored 2 goals in 23 games (both these goals were in cup competitions). He returned to Brazil without permission over the Christmas period and Moyes suspended him for breach of contract. When he returned he was shipped back to Man City.
