Everton V West Bromwich Albion
Kick off 15:00 Saturday 13th Feb
Roberto Martinez will probably field an unchanged side for the Baggies visit to Merseyside. With John Stones, Tim Howard, Mohammed Besic and Kevin Mirallas all missing through injury.
New signing Oumar Niasse will probably start on the bench.
Tony Pulis brings his normally hard to beat West Brom side to Goodison Park, without key defenders Johnny Evans and Chris Brunt. Without any points in the last 6 games, the Baggies are looking for a change in fortune, but have only managed to score 23 goals this season compared to 46 for high flying Everton.
It will be nervous until we score our first goal.

We'll win this at a canter. 8-1, with goals for Besic, Howard, Stones, Duncan Ferguson, Naismith, and a hat-trick for new signing Naissesmith. Consolation goal for them from Asa Hartford.

Didn't we have six 1-0 wins on the bounce under Moyes?

Currently playing extra time in cup against Peterborough. Few tired bodies out there.

Which Everton will Martinez go for?
Everton v West Brom (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

"Everton have finally found a bit of consistency. They've won back-to-back Premier League games for the first time this season and three consecutive 3-0 wins will be a confidence booster as they move towards the final third of the season.
"Roberto Martinez faces a difficult decision though. The three consecutive clean sheets have been achieved without both Tim Howard and John Stones.
"In their absence Joel Robles has looked safe and secure in goal and Ramiro Funes Mori has forged a real understanding with Phil Jagielka at the heart of the Everton defence.
"Struggling West Brom come to Goodison on Saturday and it will be interesting to see which way the Everton manager goes regarding team selection."

They were very poor in the first half against the mighty Posh and should have been 1 or 2 goals down. Experience started to show after they had scored and had a couple of chances to win the game not only in normal time but extra time. The two penalties that Posh missed were poorly taken, but at least they were on target unlike Fletcher’s shocking penalty.
Great performance over the two games from the Posh players and if it had only been for a little more experience of the players (the posh team is very young, with an average age around 21/22) they might have been heading down to Reading next weekend for a fifth round tie.
It was great to see a performance like last nights in front of the tv cameras, as previous games that have been shown live, Posh have been very poor. Play like last night for the remaining 17 games of the season and Posh will have a great chance of starting in the Championship next season.

Whats the opinion on Forrister Sup'? Looks like he was playing at the base of midfield for Posh. Played higher up the field in his time at St Pats.

Re: Everton V West Bromwich Albion
I can't see the point (although Martinez will probably disagree) of playing Howard ahead of Robles from now until the end of the season, form permitting. Howard is clearly on the way out and it would be a shame to sour a solid career with him clearly past his best. Robles has done nothing wrong when called upon this season and he deserved an extended run to see him he can succeed Howard as a long term solution for the club. Unless we go on an extended winning run we look likely to finished 6th-10th at best with our best chance of success is to go on another cup run. Stones too should probably not be rushed back in to the first team either, especially if Martinez is going to shoehorn him into right back again. West Brom look a bit bereft of purpose at the moment looking particularly poor in cup game last night. Expect Pulis to put ten behind the ball and ask us to to once again break them down. Be interesting to see (although again Martinez probably won't) play 2 upfront against a packed defense. It was patently obvious that Lukaku more support in Swansea game but Martinez just persisted with like for like replacements. Although hopefully this time the confidence of three successive wins should see us home.
4-0 Blues. Naisse hat trick.

Been very impressed with him mate. Holds the ball up well, got an eye for a decent pass and not afraid to have a shot at goal. Talk is that if he continues like he is doing, he could be one of the next Posh players who gets a multi million pound move to a bigger club.
Although it would be nice to keep him for a little while longer yet.

Barring injury just keep with the settled side. Don't fuck with it Bobby! Midefield 5 all in great form and Lukaku should get chances against this team. Having Mirallas, FoofFoo and Naisse to spring for the bench too if we need more energy or a cutting edge.

Re: Everton V West Bromwich Albion
So will the same theory be applied to Joel/Tim?
"Everton have produced 11 clean sheets in all competitions this season but the fact three of those came in the last three matches convinced Martinez there was no need to disrupt the back four despite Baines being fit again.
"Leighton had a really tough period with being out with an injury for such a long spell for the first time in his career," said the Toffees boss, who has kept faith with Oviedo.
"He came back, got the rhythm slowly and he got in a very good amount of games in a short period of time but he had a knock against Carlisle and probably needed a bit of a breather.
"It was never a need to change the back five, it was the (same) back four plus 'keeper who kept a clean sheet against Carlisle after a difficult period in our defensive duties.
"Leighton is a very experienced and important footballer for us and we will all get the benefit of having him fully fit and ready to go to fight for his place.
"He is now in a position where competition for places allows us to have a strong ending to the season.
"It just shows you the quality and competition we have in the squad."

It would be great if we can get a win today, then both Norwich & Swansea win. That would give us a massive boost of confidence
Knowing us tho, we will fuck it all up
told ya.
hope we get the breaks 2nd half, we have been unlucky
