Kone misses a sitter that Doris would have tucked away with ease

Good three points, but we're a mid-table side.

That will do but we will need to play a lot better against southampton

All over, not pretty but a win that we really needed and up to tenth about the shite.
Besic easily MOTM, just a shame that it looks like Kev could be out for a while.
Roll on Southampton away on Saturday.

Besic MOTM. Some of his tackles were a little over-exuberent but he worked really hard and hardly gave the ball away. Barks looked much better in a deeper role than behind Luka.
The rest of them...meh. Let's hope Kev's injury isn't serious

He should have feckin passed the ball out wide to the left instead of doing a McGeady. Do the simple stuff well and you won't get crippled.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Can't believ Kev's fucked agin by a bad tackle

We were booing because, not for the first time, we had a free kick 30-35 yards out and the ball, once again, did not make it forward. Jags just happened to be the last guy to play it to Tim.Super wrote:Fans boo because Jags passes the ball back to Howard.
Free kicks, corners, throw ins - No clue. Bring back Lescott. That was the last time we looked dangerous from corners - every time.
Lukaku, like Anichebe, is phony with his header attempts. Both of them ALWAYS jump under the ball, even when not challenged. Then there's Nais, who should organize heading classes for the rest of them. No lateral movement until Kone came on.
Just didn't get what we were trying to achieve at times tonight.

I was watching Luka last night and comparing him to Vic. Both have the physique to cause mayhem for defenders but both don't use it enough, either for fear of injuring their opponents or themselves. We missed a trick with Vic by not loaning him out to a lower league club to toughen him up. I guess we can't send £28m Lukaku to Scunthorpe for a season.

Re: Everton 3 (Barkley, Mirallas, Naismith) v QPR 1 (Zamora)
Didn't enjoy that game , the times we keep going backwards instead of attack, have been far too many.
Its a bad habit we need to shake off, When are crowd starts booing its because we were playing shite, what has happened to are wing-backs? both Coleman and Baines looked uncomfortable.
Once again Lukaku looked way off the pace , time for Martinez to rest the big man, Kone looks ready for a start in the first team, would like to see Naismith-Kone-Eto'o in a three prong attack against Southampton, Barkley seemed quite suited to defensive midfield, only problem a better team would have found us out , Besic is a work horse but at the same time you worry when he goes in two footed low on the ground, still he was my MOTM.
