Slight difference in class. We needed to take our chances and didn't. Some individual errors killed us today.

Osman finally touches the ball and passes it straight to an Arsenal player.

Barkley's miss when it was 1-1 did come back to haunt us. Overall though, it was an open game, with some better finishing and movement in the final third, we could have won it.Lumper wrote:

All over, Arsenal the better team in the end but it was never a 4-1 game.
So, the league now then....

I'm so tired now of watching everton continually fail against the bigger teams! I'd replace the entire team right now!

West Brom 0-3 Man Utd
There's a smile doing its level best to break through on David Moyes's crinkled face. And why not? His side have done a decent job this afternoon.

Keep in mind that the Arsenal team probably cost 3 times as much to put together and their wage bill is probably 50% more than ours, if not twice as much. It's hard to compete under those conditions.Cahill the Great wrote:I'm so tired now of watching everton continually fail against the bigger teams! I'd replace the entire team right now!
Re: Arsenal 4 Everton 1 (Lukaku) FA Cup
I thought a 2-2 draw would have been fair in the end. But we're just not creating enough clear cut chances. Mirallas can't pick a pass to save his life, FooFoo should go home now, but most of all - what the fuck happened to the defence for the third goal that killed the game? Just terrible terrible defending.
Ah fuck it, season over, ManUre overtaking us, RS winning the league, I'm going to go kill some kittens.

You're right but that feels like little consolation right now. The last couple of months have really highlighted the gulf in class between us and the top 4.

Re: Arsenal 4 Everton 1 (Lukaku) FA Cup
I know mate. We are all frustrated, but the difference in spending power is just part of the sport these days. Long gone are the days when a good manager could put together a team of players who worked well as a unit. Now it's more or less down to who has the biggest wallet.Cahill the Great wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Keep in mind that the Arsenal team probably cost 3 times as much to put together and their wage bill is probably 50% more than ours, if not twice as much. Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:I thought that Foofoo's decision to try and dribble the Arsenal defender, losing the ball, and Arsenal score 3-1 killed the game. Coleman was overlapping on the right and Foofoo wanted to take the defense on all himself. If he makes that pass, he wouldn't have lost the ball and Arsenal wouldn't have scored 8 seconds later.mindyerho? wrote:Moment on insanity from Barry, but Robles made everyone too nervous. More than matched them for 65 minutes though
That was the end right there. Foofoo passes, Coleman whips in a cracking cross, and 2-2 back to GP.
Foofoo should be sent home with a note that this product is defective and doesn't have a pass feature.
Up to 75 minutes we were in the game, but..................

No change from Moyes time. 4-1 doesn't represent the performance but just shows we are miles off 4th place.

Can't understand how Martinez can select Jobles over Howard , Stones over Alcaraz?
Substitutions, McGeady for Mirallas Osman for Pienaar. foofoo for Barkley, very late in the game, Didn't inspire much.
Why was Lukaku playing wide ?
Just don't understand what Martinez was trying to do?
when the Summer transfer window comes around , Martinez needs to send back the loanee's and buy permanent players as this is causing uncertainty within the squad.
Older players like Distin - Pienaar-Osman need replacing ,Money being the major factor .
Re: Arsenal 4 Everton 1 (Lukaku) FA Cup
At least Chelsea are winning. Hopefully, by the team the Shite take the field at Old Trafford, they'll be ten points behind them.
