TBH, not that bothered anymore. As ever, build us up, get us believing and then fuck up big time. 50 years of this. Even when we were good the RS did the 'kin double (only time ever for them) and we let them. We bossed the Cup final, they were in disarray and we still managed to find a way to lose.

I'm kind of with you Statman, just not that arsed anymore. I'll watch it and enjoy it (hopefully), but I am just slowly getting away from the excitement of football.

2-1 win btw.  Laughing

Sorry Guys ,I am arsed cause I'm an EVERTONIAN, born not manufactured.
Our recent dip in form is due to a lack of fire power , nothing more.
plenty reasons to be cheerful ?

1) 5th place hasn't totally disappeared.

2) Still in the FA cup.

3) Europe still beacons.

Everton 3 0 West Ham .Lukaku on the march with a brace.
season kicks in again. cheers  cheers  cheers

I'm in ... I'm annoyed & disappointed in recent results, but that is because we could have won them (apart from the shite).. way better than getting twatted like we used to be to the big team

I am worried about the age of our team though & the amount of loans ... but that's another thread...

Remember Martinez saying recently ? he will start to use some of the youngsters from next season.
we have many out on loan but? they will be the future of Everton football club.

With big Duncan now a senior coach . maybe are strike force will toughen up.

Do you really think this? I love Big Dunc but he was a sicknote. I was once told that whilst at Toon he told Bobby Robson that he wasn't fit enough to play but Bobby told him that he was and he did.

You can have all the positivity in the world but you are old enough to know that it is misguided. People said (before the Cup draw) 'Bring the RS on, we'll turn them over' but in reality the odds are stacked against us.

If we were Champions League holders and the RS were playing Conference North they would still turn us over. It's just the way it is. As I said above they have won the double just once. When? Slap bang in the middle of our most successful period ever. They managed to mess up two great opportunities but lost to Wimbledon in the Cup Final and next season lost 2-0 at home to Arsenal to lose the League. When English teams only had to turn up to win the European Cup and we won the League they still managed to piss on our parade by getting English clubs banned.

I'm also annoyed and disappointed in recent results but it is more to do with the lack of investment at the right time. If Bobby had the money why not use it instead of haemorrhaging money on chancers like Traore. Bobby hasn't been unlucky with Traore he's been stupid.

Yes I do really think Fergusons promotion to senior squad will toughen up our strikers, ferguson's
heart wasn't in it at Newcastle as he didn't want to leave in the first place .
Martinez wants to save his transfer kitty for the summery transfer window .
As its been said before Martinez is saving his money in order to test Chelseas resolve by bidding for Lukaku in the summer.
personally I wouldn't have sold Jelavic ,7 million won't get you much in the summer window.
It will probably take 15 million plus to get ;Lukaku so we have to wait and see.

But he was a sicknote here as well.

He had problems with his knees because of being a tall guy , Don't see how this has any reflection on him being a coach or motivator.
Big Dunc a sicknote  No wash yer mouth out.... 239 appearances for the blues & 69 goals ... I loved him

Would you say that to his face  lol!

I'm with you Sef  cheers  cheers  cheers
We Lost to L'pool, Spurs and Chelsea and we should of won 2 of them.

Just need a decent run now and this season can still be a great one.

Agreed Pres, Totally understand peoples frustration , but, this is Everton and we don't do things easy.
with firepower back we will go on a bit of a roll. cheers

I'm in ... I'm annoyed & disappointed in recent results, but that is because we could have won them (apart from the shite).. way better than getting twatted like we used to be to the big team

I am worried about the age of our team though & the amount of loans ... but that's another thread...

2-0 to the toffees

COYB

No Game for United so back to 6th should be the aim,
then chase down a knackered Spurs. (Good result for them and us tonight 3-1)

Andy Carroll available again after suspension. They are in good form so not a great time to play them but I still fancy us to get 3 points today. COYB!!!

I would start with Alcaraz at the back with Distin today. I like John Stones but wouldn't fancy him against Carroll due to his age and experience. We should be looking to attack down the wings today and, hopefully, Mirallas can have one of his better games. Will be interesting if Barkley can step up again today after his England call up as he has looked poor following him return from injury.
