I think this comment sums it up rather well:

Sal in Liverpool: Shocking decisions by the ref. Lukaku (pen), Silva 2 yellow cards, Zabaleta diving... Still Man City rather better side.

He lost control when he failed to book Silva in the first half. Don't think he has a clue what he is doing. He wants fucking off to League 2 again.

4 mins of added time. Not that it matters much at this point in time. Looks like we have given up a long time ago.

I'm not too dis-heartened about this... we played well I thought..

if the correct penalty calls were made that would have been 2-2

Worst referring performance since Atkinson red carded Rodwell against the shite

2nd half was poor though I think. Again, the ref killed the game, but I am not too happy with the 2nd half performance.

And it's all over, 3-1 final score.

Promising first half, poor second half.

The ref should never ref in the Prem again.

You and me both mate.

He does work hard and defend fairly well, very well at times even, but his first touch is worse than mine and he is not on the same wave length as his team mates most of the time.

Time to throw Foofoo on there from the start, he clearly wants to make an impact - let's give him the chance to do so.

Yes, same. But as has been said by everyone on here - we were shit in the second half (again). What can Martinez do to change that?

The most important thing he needs to do as a manager is make sure the team don't get downhearted. If City can sort out their away form and stop leaking silly goals, it's hard to see them not finishing 1st or 2nd this season. So, forget this game - and, as you say, if it wasn't for the ref we might have sneaked an undeserved draw.

When will the FA start looking at these refs though? They need to do something about the bias being shown to the big clubs.

Absolutely. All we want are unbiased refs. If they are not top notch, then so be it as long as they are consistent.

What worries me more is that without Lukaku we are nothing, yes I know we have him for the season, but we will need a replacement for when he goes and Kone, Jelli and Nais are not it

The only real option we have is to play Mirallas as a striker next season. He has been the only player apart from Lukaku has looked good up front all season.
