If CL footy looks almost impossible after Sunday, the likes of Barry, Luke and Foofoo will be thinking of next year elsewhere.
We'll likely fall away and open the door to Moyes's bunch.
So COYBs it is then!!
A call to arms Blue Boys!!!
This is what's worrying me about all the fourth place excitement. Now we've got ourselves in a position where it's a possiblity, I do worry that if we don't make it, it'll lead to an exodus of our best players. In a weird way, we'd have been better off not dreaming, and just battling to a fifth or sixth place finish. That way, Bobby could have said "next year we'll push on" and the players would have bought into it. Cos it's been hyped up this year, not finishing 4th might feel like a failure, the end of the road.
aaah, the psychology of kicking a ball around huh?
Remember the days of the New York Cosmos with Pele et al. The slogan was "It's just a kick in the grass." They just didn't get it.

They all say Bobby is the bee's bollocks and we're going to win everything. Cue a disastrous run of results, and everyone saying they knew he was shit, he even got Wigan relegated.

Trying to take a positive from the Shite winning all those games in a row, Bobby would have been guaranteed Manager of the Month for March given we won all our games which would have seen your disastrous run of results prediction definitely occur. Due to the Shite's good form, perhaps Brenda won it and terrible things await for them while we carry on our business.

Grand National Omens look good
1 Pienaar de Re (ridden by Leighton Aspell)
2 Andy King
3 Double Seven (Jeli and McGeady - or Nais if you prefer)
4 Alcaraz
5 Rocky
Walk On was nowhere - pulled up, didn't make it to the finish line! One in a Milan Net also fell.

I don't think a draw today will be a disaster, a win would , of course be a massive confidence boost for us tho.
I just hope we are ready for " the big game " and don't bottle it like we normally do. Go at them from the off, hopefully scare the shit out of them and bang a few goals in, then settle down to our possession style football
This is a massive game for us, but it's not the end of season game some are predicting

I think we need a win (or a draw) as much for our 4th place aspirations as we do in order to keep Spuds and Manure at bay for 5th/6th. We've got a tricky run-in so need to pick up points in our home games.
I fully expect us to bottle it though

Re: Tipster 2013-14 Season Thread
With Osman playing instead of Barkley, Naismith will probably be close to Lukaku, or at least hopefully so, instead of out on the wing. I assume that with Nais starting, Osman will not go forward as much as Barkley would have, so he's a "safer" choice than Barks. I feel this is a big game for Osman because his success today will affect the outcome of the game.
Good to see options on the bench as well.

Re: Tipster 2013-14 Season Thread
Get your eight hours in
What was that all about? Well, I've not gone totally mad, it turns out that under Roberto Martinez's likeable exterior lies a hard, if equally likable interior.
According to this piece from our chief football writer Phil McNulty, Martinez fines players if he can prove they have not had eight hours' sleep at night, a rule he will find easier to enforce when he has overnight accommodation built at their training headquarters.
Martinez is also a man who has an L-shaped sofa in his home so he can spend time with wife Beth while both can watch different televisions - because his is invariably tuned in to football.
Genius. What a guy...

Looks like Nais might be out on the left, sure hope he will be more central than that.

Arsenals' LB's first name in Nacho. Does he have a taco stand out front?
