Not sure we're ready for a back three judging by that. Robles needs to put in a lot of work on catching balls. Nice enough in possession, need a little cutting edge but what's new?

I know it was against a shit side, but that was some of the best possession football I've seen us play. Mirallas, Barkley, Coleman, Oviedo all seemed liberated by being told to play some football, and everyone wanted to show they were decent players, not just dogs of war.

The goal we gave away was a really worry because Howard makes mistakes like that around three times a season, so to see the new lad doing it too means we don't have a reliable keeper for crosses.

To be at the stage we seem to be at so soon after getting a new manager and starting the pre-season is fucking impressive IMO. We're bound to get some set-backs, including a few pastings, but I love what Martinez is trying to do, and the best thing is that we genuinely seem to have the players to do it.

Who the fucking fuckety fuck is David Moyles anyway, the miserable ginger tosser. It's like buying a colour telly after years of watching in black and white. If any Manure fans watched this match today, they'd be slitting their wrists - if he could reduce this group of players to the dour shit we've been served so many times over the last few years, what can he do to the Mancs?

"Aye, I'd like to buy Gareth Bale for his defensive qualities, and Fabragas cos he can track back..."

Managed to see the second half and pleased with what I saw. Absolutely delighted to see Jelavic on target again, just what I hoped Martinez would do for him. Even Nace looked semi good. Really beginning to think that we will see some proper old fashioned school of science footie this season and it's an exciting prospect :-)

O'Hoop is currently in an LA cell after been done for curb crawling. He hopes to be out by morning to take his place on the bench but one would have to question his commitment to the cause.
