Everton fan: How has Martinez still got a job?

Everton fan, Alan spoke on 606 about his side's league record under Roberto Martinez following his side's home defeat to Swansea.

"Eleven wins in his last fifty one league games, how many managers in the Premiership have got a record like that and still got a job?" he said.

Alan also commented on the defensive frailties that have plagued his team this season.

"If Martinez had one fifth of David Moyes' defensive capabilities, we'd be challenging for the title, because we've shipped seventeen points from winning positions."

This clip was taken from 606 with Ian Wright and Kelly Cates, broadcast on 24th January 2016.

Have to admit I want him gone now. I was prepared to give him another season when we finished 11th but we're closer to the relegation scrap than we are to the top 4. I didn't rate him when we appointed him as he'd done nothing at Wigan except fight relegation before eventually going down. Just looks out of his depth and results over the past 18 month do not lie! I've got no confidence in him finding a solution to actually winning games and we're just wasting time by holding onto him.

We need someone proven - someone who has a chance of convincing our best players to stay at the club.

Have to agree with most here on points concerning Stones,he's becoming to big for his boots, sell him now cause he will fade when he goes to another Club,as do most players leaving Everton,Barkley sadly for him believes all the media hype that he's a better player than he actually Is.started off well but it's all gone down hill,he has no confidence going forward and I personally blame Woy hodgson for knocking his confidence.

As for Martinez,I have never warmed to him, unlike David Moyes ,I would have Moyes back as a defensive coach,Moyes understands the fans more than Martinez who I find disrespects the fans by saying that it's the fans who are making the players to scared to play at home, total kop-out by Martinez who never seems to communicate well with the fans, all the more reason he should go now ,before it's too late.

After he's relegated left us, he'll be picked up by mid table and newly promoted sides, and take them to the top of the league after three games, then get them relegated. Then, at the end of his career, he'll get to a cup semi-final with Bristol Rovers or someone, and end up teaching English as a very foreign language.

Press conference bullshit from Bobby today:

"There's only been two defeats away from home in the whole campaign," the manager said. "We're very close to being very consistent. This team is new, this team has been formed over the past two-and-a-half years."

Keep clutching at straws mate. How about the statistic that the only teams to have won less games than us this season are the three that occupy the relegation places? And this team is not "new" you fucking clown. And you can't be "close" to being consistent. You are either consistent or you're not. And shut up now please.
