Obviously not as close to being ready as Bobby would have us believe.
He clearly shouldn't have been called up in the first place.
Potentially though that's Bobby's fault for suggesting he only just missed out this weekend (and last).
Maybe. Sturridge didn't get called up despite playing against Villa last weekend and us. We need to tell Woy to fuck off more often.

Re: 26. John Stones - Pirlo eat your heart out!
Surely it makes sense him staying with us and getting treatment/fitness than match practice at England.
England have qualified too, so it's not like he is an essential player.
I'd expect him to be fit for Man Utd.

Re: 26. John Stones - Pirlo eat your heart out!
Why is a person on the injured list being included in the squad and a redshite wavy armed prick, who shall remain nameless, is left out despite playing two games in a week?

Re: 26. John Stones - Pirlo eat your heart out!
Chelsea will relaunch their £40m bid to sign Everotn defender John Stones as soon as the transfer window opens in January as manager Jose Mourinho bids to kick-start his side's Premier League title defence.
Mourinho failed with four bids to land Stones in a summer-long transfer tug of war but still believes he can prise the star away from Everton.
Express Sport understands that he has the support of owner Roman Abramovich who agrees that Stones could be pivotal in getting Chelsea out of the Premier League hole that they're in.
Mourinho also hopes that another bid would encourage the player himself to pressure Everton to allow him to move.
The Chelsea boss - under intense pressure himself at Stamford Bridge after their woeful domestic results - will make his fifth bid for Stomes, 21, early in the new year.
Stones still has three and a half years left on his contract and the news that Chelsea are back in for the player will be something that Toffees boss Roberto MArtinez has been dreading.
Everton are hoping to bag a Champions LEague slot so there will be another seesaw battle over the young star between the clubs, this time condensed into a shorter january window time frame.
Chelsea may eventually have to up their price to £45m - but key to any move now rather than in the summer could depend on what the player himself wants to do.
Manchester United are also reported to be readying a bid but Stones would be more likely to move south after a wooing campaign in the summer by Mourinho.

Chelsea are keen to renew their efforts to land Stones next month while Manchester United and Manchester City are both plotting their own big-money offers.
However, it is now understood that Stones’ preference is to remain with the Toffees until at least the summer.
Stones wants to cement his place in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 plans and does not want to take any risks that may jeopardise his position in the England set-up.
And as he has 3 years left maybe longer.......

In the summer, Chelsea could offer Stones Champions League football. Now Championship football looks more likely

His value will go up post Euro 16 so why would we sell him now. Ditto Barkley.

Money plus Gary Cahill from Chelsea and you got yourself a deal. Spend some of the rest on Ashley Williams and the new manager will have a solid foundation to work with

Re: 26. John Stones - Pirlo eat your heart out!
John Terry announces he is leaving Chelsea at end of season. Surely won't be easy to turn down a monster bid now?

I would imagine a bid of £40m will come in at the end of the season. Hopefully spark a bidding war, and we'll get £45m plus a load of performance related add-ons.
