Re: James McFadden - The Scottish Rooney - returns!
A player on a free, he will add competition for places if nothing else.
Literally.
So that's
Beckford - replaced with Straq?
Yakubu - ?
Arteta - replaced with Royston?
Could argue we have replaced the Yak with the Mac.

I think we replaced Kean's Yak with Albert's Goat.

I'm pleased he's back if I'm honest, I always liked him .. but LMAO at 10 goals in a season.. he scores 10 in every 100 appearances... if yer luckySuper wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Super - how much do you normally drink on Monday evenings?Super wrote:Made up with this, just what we need, bit of extra spice up front. Can't wait for him to hit the winning goal on Sunday afternoon.
Didn't have anything to drink last night. Just think he is a really good player and could be just what we need.
I reckon he will score at least ten goals for us before the end of the season.

so long as he score in the first 10 of the 100, we can rest him after that.....

I think we are his choice of rehab unit after his knee injury. Knows the set up, blah blah.

So do we James so do we
reading that, he must be on a pay-per-play contract surely? There's no way we'd be paying him to complete his rehab over the next two months.

The irony being that while he was injured Brum actually won a trophy.

No, I think the reserves have a good chance of a trophy this season.

aha, so we're just using him as a good luck charm, hanging from DM's car keys?

Re: James McFadden - The Scottish Rooney - returns!
At last some good news. Having sold or offloaded virtually every other striker at the club, apart from the injury prone-can't be arsed one, the human giraffe and some kid who actually looks half decent but won't get a chance. We've now added an experienced striker with an excellent goal scoring record who contributes with his all-round team play and mazy dribbles. Maybe this will be the positive spark we need to start the recovery.
