1638: GOALFLASH Aston Villa 3-1 Blackburn (Kalinic)
1638: GOALFLASH Wolves 3-0 Blackpool (Ebanks-Blake)
1636: No hat-trick for Everton striker Jermaine Beckford today. He has just been replaced by Tim Cahill. Everton remain in total control against Sunderland.

Sunderland corner. Richardson takes it and Distin heads it away.

Blackburn goal: I can't see it being the start of a comeback (mainly because Villa instantly scored a fourth)

It's been a somewhat odd second half, no real pace.
And as soon as I say that, we put together a fantastic attack that ends with Bily shooting wide from inside the box.

Osman with a shot from outside the box, straight at the goalie and no real pace.

Yes, Ossie deserved a goal today, and Jags was brilliant.
Other than that, a solid performance against a very poor Sunderland. That looks like our best line-up at the moment, most balanced. Rodwell was good today today, different to Feillaini in that he has that change of pace and is starting to look to burst forward more. Fellaini is still the better bet because of the way he breaks up the opponents play, but Rodwell is definitely starting to come on a bit.
Re: Everton 2 (Beckford 2) Sunderland 0
I wish Fellaini at times would look at taking on the defender instead of just passing sideways. Rodwell causes some real havoc with his runs at times. A bit of a selection dilemma for Moyes. With Rodwell being more creative, Arteta might be at risk of not getting on the pitch at kick-off.hairy cataract wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Osman MOM for me.
