Re: Spurs 1 Everton 1 (Baines)
Poor.
Hard to tell which team had played 90 mins away at Inter in the week.
Suppose we should be happy with a point but disappointed.
Don't think Hibbert did a single thing right after coming on. 4 more years of that to come, great!!

Hang on this was one game, we got one point, how does that work?
Re: Spurs 1 Everton 1 (Baines)
Guardian ratings make Johnny MOTM (with Baines 2nd best)

They need to watch the game again, Heitinga was horrible!
Re: Spurs 1 Everton 1 (Baines)
I wouldn't say he was horrible, but I sure wouldn't have him as MOTM. I'd go for Cahill I think. He worked very hard, tracked back like a defensive midfielder, and linked up well going forward. Pip did well as well, taking Bale more or less out of the game.notepad wrote:Toffee Dan wrote:Guardian ratings make Johnny MOTM (with Baines 2nd best)

Absolutely. Didn't look fit, didn't tackle well, misplaced pass after pass. Generally ineffective.
Poor performance overall, but happy with a point. Also, how bad are we at closing down crosses. Spurs must have stuck in 10 or so great crosses with minimal pressure on them. Sloppy.
Re: Spurs 1 Everton 1 (Baines)
Watched 2nd half in pub near work,
They looked dangerous but never really thought they would score a 2nd.
I consider this 2pts lost but supposed a draw was a fair result.

Yeah if one club was going to spend £18 million on him and then within 24 hours another team could sign him for £8 million then with Mr Paper Bag buying him then yes he is the bargain of the season.

Totally agree. Didn't have a good word for Everton but was all over the Spuds.
That said, the ref was Everton-friendly.
Good result. 8 points from 4 potential losses (3 away from home). Must be a few disappointed Evertonians around who have, for the moment, sod all to moan about. No names but if the cap fits.

fixed it for you, I thought he was okay for both sides, he let Saha get clattered a few times because he played advantage, and ditto for them. Anywho he almost made up for the two yiddish* linesmen.....

Re: Spurs 1 Everton 1 (Baines)
Disapointed the way we ended up drawing this match.
Defence was sound, Yak was casuing them problems, Cahill winning everything.
Gareth bale was in Coleman and Pip's pocket all day.
Have to take a point though. In the last 2 games we have gained 4 more points than last season.

I know its particularly tough for goalkeepers in that errors they make are genreally far more costly than most. But it does need to be pointed out that if Tim had made two less errors we would now be third in the table, and IMHO actually in the position our football over the season actually warrants.
If I am equally honest - Tim (as Moyesie) said did have the guts and gumption to keep coming and make sure that any damage was very limited.
