BBC Sport's Ivan Gaskell on Final Score, following Birmingham v Everton: "Everton 2-0 winners and very clear winners too. I can't remember a single strike on target from Birmingham and that's in front of their own fans. They were so close to setting a new record for going unbeaten at home but that never looked like happening today."

Jerome had a good chance to score in the first, and then Bowyer had an overhead kick, but apart from that, they offered very little going forward. The President wrote:BBC Sport's Ivan Gaskell on Final Score, following Birmingham v Everton: "Everton 2-0 winners and very clear winners too. Re: Birmingham 0 Everton 2 (o.g. Cahill)
To be honest, large parts of last week's game were similarly dominant from the blues....in fact you could say that for a few other games this season. This time we got a bit of luck and looked tough to break down as well (although the last 5-10 minutes of lumping it upfield didn't fill me with much confidence, but we still never looked under too much threat).
Was nice to see us play a bit of possession football around their 18 yard box in the last few minutes and then get the goal. Great touch and cross from Baines.

they're saving Beckford for Blackpool where he'll score a hat-trick, Yak getting another two and Hibbo a penalty, then it's Pienaar and Beckford for Van der Vaaaaaaaaaart in January.. done deal
go on, you were paying attention until you read 'Hibbo'....

Re: Birmingham 0 Everton 2 (o.g. Cahill)
Totally dominated this game. We did these twice last year and didn't finish them off (1-0 up at home and a goal by Saha disallowed inexplicably, 2-0 at theirs and then threw it away). They are pretty shite and we got what we deserved.
Same again next week please.

Anyone have an Accrington 7-4 and Crewe 5-5 correct score double?

The Poo are a bit of a wounded animal though. Dangerous. I almost hope Pienaar is only warming the bench. Lets keep him safe until Carra and Scrotum have got their yellow cards. Heitinga on Gerrard, Jags on Torres, Distin on Kuyt.
A thought. If Fellaini wore big soft elbow pads Refs would know when defenders were faking......

That has to be the most comprehensive twatting in a half for the first half without a goal I have ever seen.
We absolutely battered then
