Rumours of him going to Newcastle have been scuppered, as Newcastle have come out saying they are not interested.
Nobody loves him.

Didn't he make a comment the other week about Roma being interested in him?

Turned down West Ham purely down to the wages they were offering.

Makes me think he clearly rather sit on the bench collecting money than playing week in week out.Made FooFoo Gwladys wrote:surprising in a world cup year when he's 5th choice at GP behind Jags, Dizzy, Alcopops & StonesMr_Ben wrote:Turned down West Ham purely down to the wages they were offering.

You can fly KLM from Norwich Town Airport to Amsterdam. He'll end up there.

Does that even matter? I figured all footballers in the Prem owned their airlines, or at the minimum, their own airplanes.Mr_Ben wrote:Statman wrote:Merseyblue wrote:If he won't go to West Ham I can't see why he'd go to Norwich.Dixie Land wrote:Holding talks with Norwich apparently.

Re: 5: Johnny Heitinga -"proud Evertonian"
Everton defender Johnny Heitinga’s move to Serie A side Roma has moved a step closer, but Argentine right-back Nicolas Burdisso will not move to Goodison Park as part of the deal.
Holland international Heitinga is desperate to complete the switch to the Italian title challengers this month and source Tutto Mercato Web claims that Roma directors are discussing the transfer today.

Re: 5: Johnny Heitinga -"proud Evertonian"
Everton's John Heitinga could be on his way out of Goodison Park with Galatasaray interested in signing the defender, according to his agent.
Heitinga is currently surplus to requirements at Everton, having made just one substitute appearance in the Premier League and two Capital One Cup starts.
As Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin take precedence under Roberto Martinez, Heitinga is assessing his options with one eye on the 2014 World Cup, which starts in less than five months.
Heitinga understands such a lack of first-team action could damage his hopes of making the Netherlands squad and his Italian agent, Fabio Parisi is considering offers.
The 30-year-old centre-back has been subject of several links during the January transfer window and Parisi admits there has been interest from Galatasaray; while also claiming Roma could be in search of a defender after Nicolas Burdisso left for Genoa this week.
"After the sale of Burdisso, Roma may need a defender," he told Sky Sport Italy.
"They know that Heitinga can be taken on special conditions without paying anything, because he has not been playing with Everton and he wanted to go to the World Cup.
"Indeed, I deny that there has been any negotiation with Roma, while there are two teams that have come forward and one is Galatasaray."
