I thought the £1 million was the bid from Spuds for Nev. If it is the Chavski offer for Johnny then they are having a laugh.

I don't think they have bid for him to be honest.

Decent game today I thought... apart from one powder puff tackle that will make him cringe tonight when he watches the game...
Worked well on the whole with Dizzy
Good enough to keep Jags on the bench ??? ... I say yes (for now)

I think so as well. However, it's very clear he's not the "hard-man" we thought he was. That tackle that lead to the Blackpool 2-3 goal (I think it was that goal) was like watching an 8-year old girl playing on the school ground.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Decent game today I thought... apart from one powder puff tackle that will make him cringe tonight when he watches the game...

That's the powder puff tackle I referred to Thor... it's on MOTD highlights as well ... for Hard JohnnieKnight of Thorgothshire wrote:I think so as well. Maybe he thought the B'pool player was going to go over the top? That's exactly how he was hurt in the Villa away game at the end of last year.

There's a difference between going in for a challenge because you're a nutter, and going in for a challenge when you're not stupid. 50 / 50's often result in bad injuries, so for me it's not a problem. The problem for me was the rediculously naive header by Coleman, and that's what cost us the goal, just like Rodwells silly back pass to Distin cost us Europe. It's not the defenders fault really. You can't win every tackle, and some tackles are best avoided, in order to play again.

I thought he was trying not to give away a foul in that location, right about where Adam likes to hit them from. Still a pussy tackle though for a hard man.

This hard man???
Re: 5: Johnny Heitinga -"proud Evertonian"
Who said anything about him being a hard man?
He's not exactly King Kong is he?
Height: 1.80m or 5ft 9
Weight: 72 kg or 11st 3
Now considering it's a none contact sport, i.e, even if he was into mixed martial arts, he can't head butt, punch, or strangle someone, he's hardly going to be throwing his weight around on a football field.

1.80m = 5.91 ft = 5ft 11 inches.BB wrote:Who said anything about him being a hard man?

1.8 metres = 5.90551181 feet
Where do you get your extra 2 inches from? I'll bet you're huge in the shower lol.

Re: 5: Johnny Heitinga -"proud Evertonian"
There are 12 inches in a foot. 11/12 = 0.9167 ft. Hence, 1.80m = 5'-11", which is the same as 5.91ft.BB wrote:Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:1.80m = 5.91 ft = 5ft 11 inches.BB wrote:Who said anything about him being a hard man?

When someone says 5ft 9, in the States that means 5 foot 9 inches, not 5 feet and 9/10th of a foot.
