Seems worryingly like he'll be getting an extended run in the team.

I think Moyes is trying to lower our expectations on purpose. The seasons where we've acheived recently have all been ones where we didn't expect anything.

Now I've cottoned on to this mind game, I'm feeling optimistic, because I'm feeling pessimistic and I know that means we'll do well.

But because I'm feeling optimistic about my pessimism, that probably means the whole season will be a massive let down.

I'm feeling very confused now.

Tragically for us, Big Vic goes through a similar confused brain process every time he receives the ball.

I'm loving Vic's comments about playing wide right on the OS, he really sounds convincing about not minding what position he plays:

"Playing up-front is good but the main thing is helping out the team, I haven’t got a preference, playing wide is a lot harder than up-front but I don’t mind.

"It’s really demanding playing wide, sometimes from the outside you see other people doing it and you think it’s not that hard but when you get put into that position it is.

lol! Translation: PLEASE DON'T PLAY ME OUT WIDE BOSS!

What a fucking tool, "it's really demanding playing wide". Try putting in a shift as a carer in a home for Alzheimer sufferers, you big overpaid nancy.

He's got a point though. You do have to run more if you play wide, which may result in the poor lad breaking out into a sweat! Shocked

I don't feel good about starting the season with Vic as a favoured striker.
I hope DM gives Becks a decent run out. Even if he hits row Z a few times per game, there is still the Chelsea moment to look forward to.
