Tim Howard is well on his way to creating a record number of consecutive league appearances for Everton. If he plays all games up to the 30th league game this season (scheduled at the moment to be the home game against Man City in March) he will surpass Neville Southall's record of 212 consecutive league games for Everton.

that would be a good one for a clean sheet ... they'll have a point to prove next time around.Toffee Dan wrote:Tim Howard is well on his way to creating a record number of consecutive league appearances for Everton. Tim Howard adopted Scouser!

Tim Howard was with Manchester United for three years before joining Everton but never doubt his allegiance, Tim expressed his love of Everton and the City of Liverpool.
USA shotstopper Tim has been at Everton for six years after moving originally on loan from Manure and loved the area even before his transfer. He and his family are now adopted Scousers.
Tim said: "I was at Manchester for three years but I would quite often come and visit Liverpool because I wanted to find out more about the culture."
"I am a big music fan, I really am, so I do like to go out to gigs here and I can do that, for the most part, because I just get my head down and nobody really notices me too much."
"I prefer to keep myself and my family quite private, but at the same time I do like to get out when I can and if I get recognised then that's fine."
"I do get some banter from Liverpool supporters sometimes, but nothing I haven't heard before so I can easily give back as good as I get."
"I think I've picked up certain phrases rather than the actual accent since I've been here. I can't really do the accent too well without saying words I'm not allowed to!"

Pretty funny coming from a Tourettes sufferer

( Yeah, yeah! I know it´s not THAT form. Still, that picture would make an interesting Bubble competition.)

He is prone to the odd switch off and he should have done better for the goal on saturday, but that said, I think he's still capable of some top class goal keeping.

That is his weakness for sure. That and whether to come out for crosses, like the one Saturday. He gets stuck on the line and you can only make so many reflex/lucky saves.mindyerho? wrote:Tonteau wrote:The President wrote:Everton will step up the search for a new goalkeeper after manager David Moyes reveals fears a lack of competition is harming 33-year-old Tim Howard's form.

Re: 24: Tim Howard - USA USA USA
The former Wigan manager has enjoyed a fine start to life at Goodison Park, remaining unbeaten through his first six Premier League games until experiencing a 3-1 loss to Manchester City last weekend.
Howard said: "It's been great. There's been some key points that we've been asked to take on board and every week is different.
"We do that and we push forward and try to impact the game in a positive way. It's been exciting, it's been a good change and the players seem to have bought into it so it's working."
Everton did not back off at the Etihad Stadium, and took the lead through Romelu Lukaku before the hosts responded.
The Premier League can expect more of the same according to Howard, who said: "The manager believes in our game plan and our system and he doesn't really alter that very much according to who the opponent is.
"In terms of the British game, that goes against a lot of the mentality, but it seems to have worked for us."

Tim Howard: My beard helped me save Christian Benteke’s penalty
Everton keeper Tim Howard has revealed the secret behind his magnificent penalty save at Aston Villa on Saturday – his big, bushy beard.
The American stopper pulled off an excellent one handed stop to deny Christian Benteke early on at Villa Park to help the in-form Blues to a 2-0 victory.
Howard has been sporting a rather impressive bit of chin fluff in recent weeks and asked what the key was behind his weekend heroics, he joked: ‘I think I’ve gained most of my strength from the beard.
‘Benteke is a strong boy and very powerful so I thought he might go to the right. For a right-footer, that’s his power side.
‘To be honest, I didn’t get it quite right as he went high but I got a little bit of luck, reacted and kept it out.’
